“Harriet's warm vocals and evocative songwriting make this album a winner..."

“An artist in the truest sense, the sounds are jazzy, folksy and worldly.

"There are shades of Leonard Cohen, Dire Straits and maybe even French Canada."

"When I first heard Harriet Frost's recording of her song "Jacob's Ladder," I knew I'd found the note on which I hoped to end my documentary.  My intention in making Facing the Nazi Era  was to confront and honor the difficulties of the past while offering a measure of hope about the future.  Frost's composition fit that intention in a very moving way.  The song itself offers a tribute to her father who survived the trauma of Nazi Germany and rose above it.  But the power of "Jacob's Ladder" goes beyond the lyrics to the music itself and the way that Frost performs the piece--the pathos beneath the rise and fall of the music.  It's at once mournful and hopeful, offering a vision for the future that resonates with the human spirit."

--Lucy McCauley, director/producer Facing the Nazi Era: Conversations in Southern Germany

CYNTHIA RAMSEY  Vancouver Jewish Independent
“Harriet’s storytelling ability is very clear.   Her lyrics and music for “The Coming of Age”and “Marusa” evoke Chris de Burgh at his “Spanish Train” storytelling best.”

STEVESTON FOLK GUILD “like  impressionistic poetry, witty wordplay, music that is intimate and universal."

SFU RADIO
Frost's music is rich with enticing lyrics and creative plot lines. The kind of music that a person can really spend a lot of time with.
